Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has a history of flip-flopping on key issues throughout the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, said one year ago that the pandemic would not last “a lot longer” due to vaccines, yet he continues to favor mandates, promote masking, and advance the notion that boosters could continue to be needed.
“Certainly it’s not going to be pandemic for a lot longer, because I believe the vaccines are going to turn that around,” the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director said at an event in November 2020.
“Vaccines will help us. What we’ve got to do is just hang on and continue to double down on the public health measures,” he added at the time.
Yet, one year later, Fauci continues to sound the alarm over new variants of the virus as the U.S. seeks to return to a state of pre-pandemic normalcy.
While Fauci initially dismissed mandates, concluding that you “cannot force someone to take a vaccine,” he is now in favor of such measures. Speaking in an interview at the 2021 national convention for the Association of LGBTQ Journalists mere months ago, Fauci said more Americans need to be vaccinated and suggested that mandates may be the way to make it happen.
“The other way to do it is to have many, many more mandates,” he said at the time.

“I believe that’s going to turn this around because I don’t think people are going to not want to go to work or not go to college. You’d like to have them do it on a totally voluntary basis, but if that doesn’t work, you’ve got to go to the alternatives,” he said, echoing the sentiments of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), who recently announced his decision to force private sector employees to get the vaccination, as well as force businesses to discriminate against unvaccinated children.
This is far from the first time Fauci has drastically changed his stance on issues related to the virus. While he dismissed masks as a “paranoid” tool in 2019 and confessed that drug store masks are “not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material” in early 2020, he is now an ardent supporter of masking. Last month, he warned that public health officials “don’t want to do it [relax mask requirements] prematurely.”
“The more people that get vaccinated, the more people that get boosted, the lower the level of infection in the community will be, and then you start thinking about pulling back on masks,” he told NPR’s Morning Edition.
Democrat New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) announced on Friday that she is forcing businesses to either check vaccination status of patrons or implement a sweeping mask requirement.
Beginning December 13, New York will require businesses to either implement vaccine requirements or force businesses to mandate masks. According to the governor’s website, this addresses the “winter surge”:
This determination is based on the State’s weekly seven-day case rate as well as increasing hospitalizations. The new business and venue requirements extend to both patrons and staff. This measure is effective Dec. 13, 2021 until Jan. 15, 2022, after which the State will re-evaluate based on current conditions. The new measure brings added layers of mitigation during the holidays when more time is spent indoors shopping, gathering, and visiting holiday-themed destinations.
“As Governor, my two top priorities are to protect the health of New Yorkers and to protect the health of our economy. The temporary measures I am taking today will help accomplish this through the holiday season,” she claimed.

“We shouldn’t have reached the point where we are confronted with a winter surge, especially with the vaccine at our disposal, and I share many New Yorkers’ frustration that we are not past this pandemic yet,” she continued, blaming the current situation on the unvaccinated while mildly scolding them.
“I want to thank the more than 80 percent of New Yorkers who have done the right thing to get fully vaccinated. If others will follow suit, these measures will no longer be necessary,” she said.
“I have warned for weeks that additional steps could be necessary, and now we are at that point based upon three metrics: Increasing cases, reduced hospital capacity, and insufficient vaccination rates in certain areas,” she added.
Friday on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) explained his state’s new policy aimed at preventing the Biden administration from surreptitiously placing illegal immigrants in Florida.
The Sunshine State governor said such measures were justified because they prioritize his own citizens over those here illegally.
“For one, any of these contractors that are facilitating Biden’s illegal policies by bringing people into Florida, oftentimes flying in at two o’clock in the morning with no notice to the State, anyone who is doing that forfeits the ability to have contracts with State and local government in the State of Florida, and they are going to be responsible for providing restitution to the State of Florida for every single person that they bring because when they dump somebody, a lot of costs end up being borne by the State in the future, whether that’s education, healthcare, whether that’s the criminal justice system,” DeSantis said. “Unfortunately, we had somebody brought from Biden that murdered somebody in Jacksonville just a few weeks ago, and so we’re very concerned about doing that, and we want to basically say, this is not the right decision to be making to be facilitating, which is basically an illegal human smuggling operation.”
“We are also saying to some of the institutions in Florida like non-profits, we’re not going to be giving license to folks who are actively helping Biden do this,” he added. “And so, we want people focusing on our own citizens. A lot of people do a lot of great work. We’ve got a lot of people in our state that need help, and we can’t just have people who are from foreign countries displacing the needs of our own people.”

A member of the populist Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) has expressed concern that amendments to a law on administrative enforcement could be used to imprison unvaccinated people for as long as a year.
Susanne Fürst of the FPÖ fears that an amendment to the Administrative Enforcement Act could be used to enforce the proposed mandatory coronavirus vaccination policy against the unvaccinated.
The new amendment would raise fines from €726 (£617/$818) to €2,000 (£1,701/$2,255) and would also increase prison time for refuseniks from just four weeks to up to a year in prison.
Those jailed may also be ordered to pay for their own imprisonment under the new amendment, which states: “If detention is carried out by the courts, the associated costs shall be recovered by the courts from the obligated party in accordance with the provisions existing for the recovery of the costs of enforcing judicial penalties.”
While the amendment makes no specific mention of the Wuhan virus or the mandatory vaccine policy, Ms Fürst expressed concern that it would be used on those who do not take the vaccine and said such a policy should be ruled out.

Constitutional Minister Caroline Edtstadler, meanwhile, stated that there was a political consensus on the issue and that while the government desired to persuade people to take the vaccine, the possibility of punishment must exist to preserve the credibility of the legal system.
Despite Ms Fürst’s protest, the motion to amend the Administrative Enforcement Act was passed by all parties except the FPÖ, who voted against it.
Since Austria announced it would be ordering citizens to take coronavirus vaccines last month, there have been varying reports on how much violators would be fined or how long they could be imprisoned, with media reporting penalties of up to €7,200 (£6,136/$8,142) were possible.
A poll released last week revealed that 55 per cent of Austrians support the vaccine mandate policy, while 40 per cent were opposed.

Regional and national leaders in the United Methodist Church are not taking a stance on a lawsuit that a Tennessee-based UMC children’s home has leveled against the Biden administration over a rule that would require the home to place children with same-sex couples.
Holston United Methodist Home for Children sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services last week after the agency rescinded exemptions enacted by the Trump administration to an Obama-era LGBT nondiscrimination policy barring discrimination in HHS-funded foster programs based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
The charity’s lawsuit comes amid a much-publicized divide in the second-largest Protestant denomination in the United States surrounding same-sex marriage and homosexuality. The Christian Post reached out to the national and regional UMC bodies to comment on the charity’s lawsuit.
The UMC Holston Conference, a regional UMC body where the Holston Home is located, emailed The Christian Post a statement on Tuesday saying that any questions should be directed to the charity itself.
“The Holston Conference of The United Methodist Church and the Holston United Methodist Home for Children share a historic ministry connection,” read the statement.
“As a separate institution, Holston Home has a board of trustees that guides their decision-making process. All inquires concerning their leadership and decisions should be directed to the Holston Home for Children.”
The UMC Council of Bishops is also not releasing a statement or support or opposition. A spokesperson explained to CP on Tuesday that the national leadership “doesn’t comment on annual conference ministries.”
In the federal lawsuit, Holston Home contends that the HHS’ policy “would substantially burden Holston Home’s exercise of its religious beliefs to knowingly engage in child-placing activities in connection with couples who may be romantically cohabitating but not married, or who are couples of the same biological sex.”
“If Holston Home were to knowingly engage in child-placing activities concerning placements of children in connection with couples who may be romantically cohabitating but are not married, or who are couples of the same biological sex, it would need to engage in speech with which Holston Home disagrees and which violate Holston Home’s religious beliefs,” the lawsuit argues.
The regulation was enacted in 2016 during the Obama administration. Although President Donald Trump issued exemptions for faith-based organizations, these were recently rescinded by the Biden administration.
In June, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled in Fulton v. City of Philadelphia that a Catholic charity could not be excluded from the city’s foster program because the organization would not place children with same-sex couples.
Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the court’s opinion, concluding that “the city has burdened the religious exercise of [Catholic Social Services] through policies that do not meet the requirement of being neutral and generally applicable.”
“Government fails to act neutrally when it proceeds in a manner intolerant of religious beliefs or restricts practices because of their religious nature,” wrote Roberts.
“The refusal of Philadelphia to contract with CSS for the provision of foster care services unless it agrees to certify same-sex couples as foster parents cannot survive strict scrutiny, and violates the First Amendment.”
The HHS contends that the policy enacted during the previous administration “permits a contractor whose purpose and/or character is not primarily religious to qualify for the Executive Order 11246 religious exemption.”
“[T]his … undermines the government’s long-standing policy of requiring that federal contractors provide equal employment opportunity, subject to a religious exemption for contractors with primarily religious purpose and character,” an HHS policy proposal reads.
In the latest example of “transanity,” a biological male swimmer is smashing the women’s swimming records at the University of Pennsylvania. And this is supposed to be a cause for rejoicing, yet another example of inclusion and tolerance. To the contrary point, it is the latest example of a society that has lost touch with reality. And once again, it is women who are being hurt in the process.
The case at hand involves Will (“Lia”) Thomas, who previously competed as a man at the same university prior to COVID, as recently as November 2019. At that time, according to the Washington Examiner, “Thomaswas a second-team All-Ivy swimmer in three different events.” Now, he is smashing Ivy League women’s records.
So, from being a second-team male swimmer, he has now become a female champion, smashing the ladies’ hard-earned records.
But of course, there’s no difference between a male-to-female transgender and a biological female. Not at all.
Thomas has no unfair advantage.
And the emperor has no clothes.
And I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell.
Really now, have we totally lost our minds?
I actually wrote the words “the emperor has no clothes” before reading these next paragraphs in the Examiner article, written by Zachary Faria: “We have already seen a man well past his physical prime taking a spot at the Olympics away from a 21-year-old female athlete. Now, a man who was winning against men just two years ago is dominating women’s swimming in the Ivy League, all because sports leagues and organizations are rejecting basic biology in favor of scientifically illiterate gender ideology.
“This is only going to get worse, as the Olympics have now signaled their support for more men to compete in women’s events. While transgender activists continue to promote the idea that men can be women by simply identifying as such, corporations are refusing to grow a spine. Refusing to admit that the emperor has no clothes, they instead opt to stay silent.”
It looks like we are in sync. And yes, there is a reason I call this “transanity.” It is not to attack those struggling with gender confusion but to expose the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of our culture. At what point do we, as a society, cry foul?
As documented in the NY Post, “At a meet including Princeton and Cornell on Nov. 20, Thomas had a 1:43:47 time in the 200-meter freestyle and 4:35:06 in the 500-meter freestyle.”
Not only did Thomas win the events, but he smashed the Ivy League records.
Had he been competing against other men on the national level, he would have been way off the best times, with the record for 200 meters being 1:29.15 and the record for 500 meters being 4:07.97.
But against women, it’s totally different, with the female national record for 200 meters being 1:39.10 and the 500-meter record being 4:24.06.
So, against the men, even as a good male collegiate swimmer, he is nowhere near the top. Against the women, he is a star.
But, to repeat, he has no unfair advantage.
Anyone who would make that outrageous claim is a transphobic bigot.
And if you dare to refer to Thomas as a biological male – which he is, throughout his cellular structure and DNA – you will find yourself in hot water on social media. Dare to “deadname” him and refer to him as Will, and you might just find yourself banned.
And who are the real victims in all this?
First, the women against whom he is competing. These young ladies have pushed themselves to the limit in the pool for years in order to fulfill their dreams, only to have those dreams smashed by a male.
Second, the gender-confused children who will continue to be fed lies by society, from the mouths of the media to the medical profession to the world of sports, and believe that they should start to “transition” as soon as possible.
Third, Will Thomas himself, deluded into believing that he can actually become a woman and that his athletic accomplishments should be hailed. Surely, God has a better plan for him. One that will help him achieve wholeness from the inside out. One that will not involve hormone therapies (and surgeries?) for the rest of his life. One that will make his athletic accomplishments all the more satisfying.
Ah, but these days, to say that a bigger, stronger male should not be competing against smaller, less strong females is a sign of ignorance. And advocating for something better than surgeries and unnatural hormone therapies is a sign of hatred. And standing up for women’s equality is a sign of bigotry.
God help us to wake up to reality before we completely self-destruct.

Proposed Florida Bill Would Create New State Agency to Supercede OSHA

Florida’s House Speaker Chris Sprowls said on Nov. 8 that if the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is going to be “weaponized” against Floridians then the state will form its own regulatory agency.
Sprowls made the remarks during a press conference with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). DeSantis announced an emergency legislative session during which lawmakers would consider a number of measures targeting school mask requirements and vaccine mandates.
“Authoritarian edicts from the Biden regime stop here,” Sprowls said, in an apparent reference to the Biden administration’s CCP virus vaccine mandates.
A bill sponsored by state Senator Travis Hutson (R) and state Representative Ardian Zika (R) would develop a proposal to withdraw from OSHA and will “assert state jurisdiction” over issues dealing with occupational safety and health in the workplace.
“The federal government said they would never mandate COVID vaccines,” DeSantis said. “They lied about that. It is wrong to treat people like that and deprive industry of the people we need.”
He said vaccine mandates were unconstitutional and also “ignore science.”

Of the 43, all but one are vaccinated. The one considered not vaccinated has only had one dose. Listen carefully, that’s what he says.
